I thought today's workout was awesome. Very interesting, lots of diversity and I felt like it was a great challenge! Thank you!

300 Rx....minus the stepups for the jumps. Ugh, silly Achilles
Need some advice, please. What else can I do to help my Achilles get better? I ice 2x/day 20 minutes each, take fish oil capsules for inflammation, and take alleve to reduce the inflammation ( not everyday). What else? Especially when running is right around the corner....

340 RX
Lisa, I was having a similar problem with my calf. I tried to take it easy on all things like box jumps, squat jumps, etc. I also ran hot water over it in the shower and tried to keep it elevated at home. Still took a while for it to feel back to normal.

The "bounding method" off the top of the box for box jumps can be stressful on the achilles. the coaches at my wife's affiliate doesn't recommend them, and prefers the CrossFit Games standard. But I'd check with Tracey and Andy to get their thoughts on this....

First time doing Fran . What a tough WOD. On the surface, it doesn't look hoblirre, but after those thrusters, your arms are wasted for the pull ups (ring rows for me). Great job to all in the 5:30 class!
